[EDIT - I am very proud to be getting the excellent education that I am at CFCC. I am however disappointed that the library's hours are not open as much as I would like. Perhaps I was a bit harsh with all of the language, et al. I'll do better with that..]
I am currently taking a course at the community college in Wilmington, NC.
I want to ask a simple question.
Why in the world would a college close the library?
It closes at 5pm on friday, is open from 10-2pm on Saturday, and is closed all day on Sunday. Click here for all of their ridiculous hours.
Ive reorganized my personal site as a hub for my endeavors. Please be patient as I make it just right and do have a look around.
I want to read more. I want to learn to write better, so I am going to read more.
I asked my friends on facebook, twitter, and linkeden what their suggestions were and got back a ton of great reads…and a few funny ones. Now, I am not very likely to pickup something that I have absolutely no interest in, thus I explained that I usually read business/technology, documentary, classics and sometimes sci-fi…
I picked the most intriguing, to me, and have set out to go cover to cover in the next 30 days, starting today.
The titles are:
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
Catch-22 by Joseph Heller
Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand
Influence by Robert B. Cialdini, Ph. D.
Rats by Robert Sullivan
**Bonus** A secret title that i’ve been needing to read again…more on that later
So, mark it down. I will post a synopsis off my journey here within the next 30 days. Thanks again to all of those that gave me great ideas.
